Finally made photo appt!

I have had my proofs since the first week in May! Well I finally narrowed down my choices for the album. I had 800 proofs. I found this process to be terribly difficult. How long did it take all of you to choose what to bring to the photographers?

I am down to 120 pics, and I am going on July 28th to start working on my album. Am I really behind? I really had a hard time with this. LOL

Now the problem is I want all the pics I chose to actually make the album!

How many pics did you bring to the photographers when you began working on your albums?

First of all, don't feel bad about waiting all this time to do the album. I waited about 6 months from when I got the proofs too.
50 pictures went in my album and my photographer told me to bring about 100 or less and we'd narrow it down. We have about 70 pic's in our album but on 48 pages (actually 24 pgs front and back) - We did a TON of composites. They were much cheaper than adding pages and I know I'll love what they look like in the album. Is your photographer going to help you? It is good to have an objective eye just because a lot of the pictures you narrow it down to may be repetetive or something and you may not notice.

Christy..I got married the month before you. I haven't picked out my pictures yet. I just mailed out the thank you's!! Now I can concentrate on picking out the pictures. ...

Meg-9-20-02...I used Imagine Studios also. I am having a tough time narrowing down all the beautiful pictures. I will have many composite pictures as well....then I can add more pictures. I know I am going to have to do this!

don't worry at all. I got married in June and didn't pick ot my album until the end of October!

Thanks ladies, I feel better. Yes, my photographers are going to work on the album with me. I am glad to hear I am not too far behind. I still have to write out thank you cards as well! LOL

I think I win...

Got married in December 2001 and got my 1300 proofs a week later.

I'm just now making final arrangements for my album!
(just haven't had time!)
