First Anniversary!

My first anniversary is shortly coming up. I was wondering what everyone got your DH or plan on getting him for your first anniversary. I know the first anniversary is 'paper', does anyone still follow this?? I need suggestions thanx!

My Dh keeps teasing me that he is buying me vacuum bags...because it's paper! NOT FUNNY!
However we are going to vegas, so I dont know if we are exchanging.

My idea was to have a wedding pic enlarged as a gift. That's paper!

I got him Ranger tickets (paper as well). I wasn't necessarily following that nor was he since I got a 3 diamond necklace...but it worked.

Our anniversary is in 3 weeks and I followed the paper tradition! I got him a gift certificate for 6 private golf lessons. He really wants them so I know he will like it and it is paper! I also got him the 1st season of Curb Your Enthusiasm on DVD...I figured 1st Anniversary...1st Season! I have also read that the modern day 1st anniversary is Clocks...So you could always go that route and buy a watch!

I got him a book of poems which includes the poem that his late mom read at our wedding. I will find out tonight whether or not he likes it!
