Re: first anniversary
we might go back to Aruba - depending on how my preggo self is feeling!
Also considering a little bed and breakfast in the town where we met in Cold Spring, NY.
OR - a night at the Palace Hotel (which is where I got ready for the wedding), overlooking St. Pat's (where we got married!)
It is amazing its' only a few months away.

Re: first anniversary
We had dinner at the Westbury Manor. Since our Hawaii trip is not until October, we kept it simple on our actual anniversary. It was a beautiful night!

Cira - that idea sounds great. I'm thinking of having our dinner at the Fox Hollow now too! Hawaii - I WISH I had the time and could afford to go back! Sounds so nice!!! Thanks for your ideas ladies!

Re: first anniversary
We were going to go away but since we have a cousin's wedding in Sept (a week before our anniv) and my sisters wedding in Oct. and we went away to SC in July, it looks like another trip is out due to finances. I booked a reservation at River Cafe in Brooklyn for our actual anniv .....is this place worth the hype? Feel free to comment on this restaurant - its supposed to be really good food, classy with views of the city and Bridge .

Re: first anniversary
The actual day of our anniversary ended up being the day we had the 3 feet of snow ... remember in February. We planned on having dinner at Chateau Briand (where we had our reception) and go for massages. We planned an anniversary trip in May since there was so much going on.
Because of the snow we ended up having spaghetti and meatballs and shoveling all day. It was kind of cool though.
Can you go for dinner at the place where you had your reception?

Re: first anniversary
Carlyle on the Green just sent us a letter wishing us a happy first anniversary and a gift certificate for dinner at their restaurant The Oak Room. It was such a nice surprise!

Feb Bride - thats what i think I a gong to do! Have dinner at the Fox Hollow restaurant. The massages was the gift I was just the gift I was looking for! Excellent idea! Would be even better if they just sent me the gift certs free as they did in Heather's case!

Re: first anniversary
I found a great site! They have so many things on this site.
www.wallstreetcreations.com
I think I'm going to go with a framed collector's dollar. I am trying to keep with the 'paper' for the first anniversary!
