I wanted to see a Broadway play but I already seen the one's I like.

Most likely a 3hr dinner cruise.

And if I can convince DH-go down to FL to go to Cape Code & Walt Disney (so hoping)

I am thinking of going to the Grand Canyon or tour NYC and dinner. As long as I spend time with DH I am happy.

I doubt we will do anything b/c we just don't want to spend the money right now.

If we didn't have to worry about money, we would probably go to Cooperstown and stay the weekend. There is no Baseball in December, so we couldn't go anywhere to catch a game, but it would be nice to get out of NY for a small trip.

DH and I went to London one year and took the big red tourist buses around town. It was nice to just sit down and relax and take in the sights, we always said when we came back to NY we would do that. Us NY'ers have probably never done that, and I think it would be cool to do that one day. Just to do something different. I think that would be really cool actually. Then you can plan maybe to go to different places in the city depending on where the tour takes you.

For our 1st anniversary we went to Newport, RI for 2 nights. It was so romantic and beautiful!

For our 2nd anniversary we may go to Montauk for a few nights.

when we were in London a few weeks ago we said the same thing! That we should take the Big Apple Red Bus around NYC.
Our trip to Europe was sort of our one year anni trip, we just went a few months early to save money.
Originally I was thinking of renewing our vows on the beach, since it rained alllllll day last year on our wedding day and we didn't get to have the outdoor ceremony like we wanted. I might still look into having an officiant do that for us, and I would surprise dh with it on our anni. since it falls on a saturday. Actually I might email Rev. Deb today to see if she could do it!

In Newport we stayed at the Fair Street Inn, it's a block from Thames street which is the middle of everything. Breakfast was delicious, our room was comfortable and a great value, priced lower than other B&B's I found. Their website is http://www.fairstreetnewport.com/

For things to do, definitely check out a few mansion tours. We saw The Marble House and The Breakers, which from what I'm told are the best two to see if you're going to see any.

Also take a romantic walk along the Cliff Walk, in back of the mansions.

As far as restaurants, we ate at The Canfield House, and 22 Bowen's which are both upscale, and for casual dining we ate at The Red Parrot.

Hope that helps!

We're spending the weekend in Portland, Maine at the Inn by the Sea. I'm so excited we leave saturday

We're getting our rings engraved too and since its a traditional paper anniversary - we're writing 1st anniversary 'vows' to each other and we're gonna recite them before we eat our cake on saturday. I am seriously very excited- I can't believe its been a friggin year!!!

I vote for wineries and dinner out east! DH and I cannot wait until we get a nice weekend day to go out there and do that.

As for our 1 year anniv... we are going on a 3-night cruise from Miami to the Bahamas!! Leaving on the 24th... cannot wait!!!!!!

Re: First Anniversary Ideas..

We're planning to make reservations to a restaurant - The River Cafe, Dumbo downtown bklyn and celebrate with friends and family to a mini-replica of our wedding cake by Cara Linn Cakes, Inc. Unfortunately, we didn't get to save our top layer for our anniversary since our caterers discard the remaining cake once it was served to everyone.

Other ideas in mind:

1. Picnic at a beach/park
2. Weekend getaway to a B&B Inn,
Boston or any nearby state
and tour around the city.
3. Atlantic City is great also- Def
do the boardwalk scroll, get a couple
spa pkg from either Bally's or Caesar's. Some
promotion going on for a 3 in 1 package.
You choose any 3 out of a list for $250+.
