Re: First Christmas?

Honestly, I dont think you have to anything crazy different to make it special. By virtue of the fact that this will be your first will be enough.

You might want to get an ornament for your first christmas or one of those photo frame ornaments.

My only suggestion is to take some photos in your house of your first christmas so you can look back on them years from now. I also saved a little branch from my 1st christmas tree.

Re: First Christmas?

We plan to open a bottle of our favorite wine and have a quiet evening.

Yes, we do the ornament thing.. everything. Each year we get something that symbolizes the whole year best (maybe two ornaments) and add it to our tree.

Re: First Christmas?

We'll probably get a special ornament for our first Christmas.

Just the fact that we'll finally be together after almost six months apart with be special in itself.

I plan on baking some Christmas cookies, and also baking a special bread for breakfast Christmas morning.

But I agree that you really don't have to go too crazy to make it special. It will be special just because you're together, and it's your first.

Re: First Christmas?

I feel the same way. DH has a big b-day- the BIG 30 in Jan. & w/ our wedding just a month ago etc... I'm thinking it'll just be nice b/c we're finally married and living together as husband and wife.
Both of our parents are coming over for dinner, so hopefully, we'll just have a lot of laughs

Re: First Christmas?

Our family gave me a few really nice 1st Christmas ornaments and collectables, but not much else was different from our other Christmas holidays
