DH may have to work Christmas (we are not sure yet) although we already made plans to fly to my parents for the holiday. Would it be totally selfish of me to fly back alone if DH has to work? Afterall it is our 1st Christmas as a married couple but then if he's working, I'm going to be spending Christmas w/o any family.

See that i stricky, what time would your DH get off work? If you go would that mean that he would be alone on Xmas?

I think it all depends on what kind of hours he is working. If he is gone for 24-48 hours such as a fireman then maybe....personally I could l=not leave him. I'd change flights so we could leave the following day together if possible.

My DH is working...he goes in Christmas Eve at like 5PM and comes home on Christmas evening at 3ish. It stinks I am going to sleep at my mom's this way I'm not alone on Christmas morning!
