Re: Font sites...

Im a total font s l u t too!

Mind naming a few of your favorites that way I can just go right to the good ones :D

My favorites are:

- carpenter (for a handwritten script look),
- cooperplate gothic bold and light (for block text)
- wendy (more fun cutesy script)
- bickley script (more elegant script)
- lilith (a textured block print)

Im looking for a really good typewriter looking font..any suggestions?

Re: Font sites...

I have a scrapbooking program that makes the best fonts!! you can fill in the letters with color and there are tons of different designs. I will let you know the exact name if it when I get home tonight!

Re: Font sites...

Thanks Stef, I LOVE fonts as well.

The font I have that kind of looks like typewriter is Teletype, I have it from Word and didn't download it from anywhere, let me know if you can't find it on these sites--if not, I can send it to you.

Re: Font sites...

Stef, Since you seem like a font expert do you know of any other fonts that are all capital letters- like Copperplate.

Re: Font sites...

I honestly never looked but:

a) Copperplate actually has a lowercase letter that is slightly smaller than the uppercase.

b) Copperplate has at least 10 different variations so if you want something similiar it may be out there.

I will look tonight and see if I have any other like it.

Re: Font sites...

Thanks Stef. I will look into the other types of Copperplate. I really like the way that the lowercase being smaller capitals looks.

Re: Font sites...

I found one that I liked Cleaver's Juvenia. I didn't realize how easy it was to find one on dafont.

Re: Font sites...

Could someone post (again) how to save and use these?

thanks

Re: Font sites...

Great! Glad you found one :D

Dublin: I believe their are tutorials on the sites but essentially you download the file somewhere on your pc. Then go to Control Panel, Fonts, File, Install new font - find the file and click 'install'. The PC installs it and its then an option when you use your text editing programs :D
