For AeroJenn: Red Raspberry Preserves

For AeroJenn: Red Raspberry Preserves

So EASY to make!!! I made this last year and shared it with family and friends and I've been getting requests all year!!! So this weekend I'm going raspberry picking for truckloads of berries and making it again.

Here's how to do it:

Go raspberry picking. Plan a day with DH or a friend and find a farm to pick berries. This is the only way I make the preserves. Buying the berries in the store is WAY TO EXPENSIVE and their never as sweet.

3 Cups Raspberries
3 Cups Sugar
1/4 Cup Water

Boil Sugar and water
When boiling put raspberries in and simmer 5 minutes stir a few times
Pour into sterilized jars and seal.

A few hints!!!

I don't like my preserves SUPER sweet so I cut back on the sugar depending on how sweet the berries are themselves. Last year I has a pretty sweet crop so I cut the sugar to about 2 1/2 cups.

I'm not a huge fan of those little seeds that get stuck in your teeth so usually before I pour the berries into the jars I strain them!! I do make a few batched with the seeds because DH likes them.

Enjoy over ice cream, waffles, on cookies, muffins, toast or even on the spoon!!!
