For all of you ladies worried about your marriage certificates!

Try not to worry. I was going crazy and was calling the city clerks office to no avail.

However, today, after 60 days (2 months), I just received my marriage certificate today. Although I am very relieved, because I was beginning to think it got lost and we were not legally married

So you ladies be reassured if you filed within the 5 boroughs, they are very backed up and it can take from 8 to 9 weeks to receive your certificate in the mail.

Just thoght I'd share.

It can even take up to 5 months if they forgot to process it. We got ours this week and it is stamped that it was processed Oct 10.

its going to take forever for me. we had to do the license over. the dumb arse rabbi wasn't paying attention when the witness signed the licese. the witness signed in the wrong spot. so dh and i had to sign on the same line. the license will be going in the mail on monday. i hope i get it by dec so i won't have trouble with the taxes
