I am a past bride-- and new mommy-- ( got pregnant on the honeymoon) everyone was so helpful on these boards so I just wanted to tell you all about this center I attend that has helped me meet other moms! Its called the Mothers Center of Suffolk-- It's non-profit and has all kinds of support groups and playgroups, mommy and me and tons of other stuff. It was my saving grace after the birth of my son ! Now I have tons of new friends and so does my son ...They are having an open house Feb 5th in Seatauket. If you are interested let me know!! Hope to see you there.

Can you give me more info? I might be interested, although Feb 5th will still be a busy time for us, since we will be in the process of moving. But, I'd love to look into this more. Thanks!

Sure -- Heres the info -- Its located at the Setauket Presbyterian church on 5 Caroline Ave in Setauket. The phone number is 631-689-2827. You dont have to come to the open house to get involved -- call for a newsletter -- and it will tell you all the events you can sign up for.
