See I always see it as the opposite, alot of nerdy type guys like these girls more. Its something that for many they feel is out of their reach so something they desire.

so true! my old boss was like that. he was a nice guy, but truly one of the nerdiest guys ever. he was short, and sad to say, not very attractive. and he only wanted the hot girl! women would actually hit on him, and attractive women too, but if they weren't the super hot type, he wanted nothing to do with them. poor guy is probably still single.

as for phelps's girl, she's super trashy. i've seen a few of the pics of her out there, and it's just bad. and i'm sure if he wasn't michael phelps, but just a nerdy kid from baltimore, she wouldn't be with him.

yeah bc if they are nerdy I think they feel if they have a pretty girl by their side that people will look differently at them so i guess thats why. But it is also getting something they thought they couldn't have. And they see guys drool over these type of girls and think oh its what every other guy wants but i dont think they realize they dont want to take them home to my mom, just have their fun and thats it.

you know what you are so right and such a good point. Its funny how in a relationship the woman is always the one to get criticized, whether she looks good enough or not. Its ok for a guy thats not attractive to be with an attractive girl but not vice versa. And then we wonder why women have so many insecurities. BUt YES!!!!! besides the fact that she is trashy going by on just looks, yeah she is alot better looking than him, i love michael phelps but sorry he is not attractive. If he wasnt who he was, people would say 'what is she doing with him' if they saw them walking down the street

Dflat - I didn't develop until like 10th grade
brace face killah - i had braces for 12 years

my mom wouldn't let me shave my legs so i had to wear stockings under my shorts b/c i was so embarassed of my hairy spanish/italian self (mind you they were the shiny, 1990's nude aerobic stockings)

My mom still shopped for me in the childrens place when i was in 7th grade (all my friends were wearing baggy pants and nike's) i had on 'the place' shirts, tight jeans and keds.

I was made fun of until i was in college...
