For the 100th time, I need hardwood floor referrals again please!!
Okay, so I just got an estimate to do all of the hardwood floors in my home and it was pretty pricey--granted, it's quite a few floors. My problem is that we are worried about spending money with a company that is not a referral. I got them out of the phone book, and though they apprear to be really nice and professional, what if they suck? We would prefer to use a company that has been used by anyone who can say that they liked the results, you know? To spend that kind of money and not have anything to go on is scary. I know that I can ask them to give me referrals so that I can see their work too, so that's an option...
Someone from the board referred AAA Hardwood flooring and I left a message for them, but they never called me back. I also remember that someone on the board was unhappy with their floors after a while, so I want to steer clear of whomever that was too!!
I have a bed that is being delivered in about 6 weeks and I need these floors sanded ASAP!!! Thanks for any help you can give!

P.S. I don't think I like this new board too much...

I will have to check the name of the company that did our kitchen floors. They are located in Suffolf County. I dont remember the name of them. We found them out of the pennysaver, because they were the only ones that called us back and showed up to our house for an estimate. The floors looked beautiful, and thought it was a great price. I will find out the name and # to give you.

I will try to lcoate the paperwork of the Long Beach company that did our floors. They did an EXCELLANT job. Trouble is I remember that the owner mentioned that he was buyin a home out on the island- and may have moved.
Will try to locate it tonight

We used Michael Callaghan. The floors look nice, and we've received a lot of compliments on them. They were definitely not the cheapest out there, but we were afraid of going with a company whose quote sounded too cheap.

I visited my girlfriend over the weekend and she had the 'Prego' floors put in, I think you can buy then from Home Depot and I must say they were beautiful. You can either install them yourself or pay to have them put down. Good Luck.
