For the first time, on Wednesday we...

got to have guests over and use our formal china, crystal and silver...

It was so weird actually seeing it on MY TABLE and knowing that it belonged to ME!

I guess I still felt like I was 'playing' with stuff at the store...

(We finally were able to use discounts and buy crystal and silver, previously we only had our formal china, so we still used our casual stuff since it was a matching set)

Thats so exciting. I can't wait to use my good stuff. Everything is still boxed up in my old room at my moms. I won't use anything until we have a bigger place. I think some of my good china is still wrapped in wrapping paper because my stepmom bought me most of the set and I didn't have time at the shower to open it all!!

Oh! Make sure you open it to at least look at it! I had that happen too, my aunt bought my entire casual set. But, I opened it all up and there were some broken pieces.

I'm not sure where you registered. I registered at Fortunoff. So, now it's more than 60 days past my 'event date' and when I go in to do exchanges, they are starting to get huffy. It varies by department, but I usually have the most trouble in the crystal and china departments.

It's so much fun using the nice stuff. Of course, I was panic stricken that someone would drop/break something...

Thanks for the advice. I'll get my butt over there next week and open it all up. I just hate opening it because you never get the stuff to fit back in the boxes the right way!!
