For those following the campaign...

Romney just announced he is 'suspending his campaign' for President. Hasn't said he's dropping out altogether but this effectively gives the nomination to McCain.

I always feel like I should close my posts with a fun emoticon but since I'm staying mum on my political leanings I feel like there's nothing. Makes the page look boring. I'll use this one - it seems neutral:

I am not saying anything

ETA: doesnt that mean that eventually he will drop out?

Probably. Now he can spend more time doing his hair

NY TImes just reported that he's dropped out.

McCain scares me a little. He's got a temper.

I love it how both he and Edwards used the term 'suspend' instead of saying 'ending.' I agree with the pundits on this one though-- Romney is dropping now to salvage his funds and position himself to run in 2012 if a Dem wins this year.

ETA: nevermind the CPAC thing. Thought he did the speech elsewhere not at CPAC. need to wake up!
