For those of you that did the Polaroid Guestbook or went to a wedding with one..
How did you set it up?A) Did you have someone take pictures of eveyone first and then place the pictures in the book and have people come back and sign?
B) Did you have someone take a picture of the guest and then immediately place the picture in the guestbook for them to sign?
C) Did you just take the the picture and have them sign the bottom and place it in the guestbook at a later date (like when you got back from honeymoon)?
Please help, FH and I went out and bought one camera and about 120 film. Our guest min. is 175 but we are planning for about 200. We really need help about the logistics of this.
I'm trying to figure out the best way not to have a long line of people waiting to sign. Oh yeah, did you only have the guestbook up at the reception?
I tried doing a search on this but all that popped up was from girls discussing the planning and nothing from somone actually discussing in detail what they did and how it turned out.
Even if you just vote, it would help if you can offer any feedback on if there was lines, if one camera would be enough, etc..
Any and all advice is appreciated.

I went to a wedding that had one. They set it up on a table outside of the reception room. The table was decorated with flowers and framed pictures. There was one book and one camera.I remember there being a long line at first, so DH and I danced for a bit, then went back when no one else was there. They didn't designate a person to take eveyones' picture - you kind of just did it on your own by asking another guest to take your picture.
Then we immediately put the picture in the book (although it was pretty disorganized - people didn't put them on back to back pages, and pictures kept falling out of the book) and signed it.

i went to a wedding where they had the polaroid camera thing and i thought it was such a great idea! once i walked in there was an attendant at the table with her polaroid camera ready. scott and i posed and then immediately signed in along with our well wishes. having the guests come back and forth would be too much trouble and you're bound to have some blank spaces and will have to search for these ppl and ask for their sign-in.

I went to a wedding where I helped get all the photos taken. It was set up with camera and markers, etc.. during the cocktail hour and reception but no one was using it. So another girl and I went around and tried to get everyone to participate throughout the night. I think if you assign some willing people to do this, you'll probably get a better representation of guests and a variety of shots. If you leave people up to their own devices, its harder.I had something simliar (on a much smaller scale) at my bridal shower. My MOH had to do a lot of running around even though it was a small party to get everyones photo and comments. Its a lot of work.

I had my cousin help people at the guestbook table - she would take the picture, put it in the album and have the guests sign the album right then and there. As the reception began of course people weren't stopping to sign the book so she took it upon herself to pick up the book and go around to the tables during dinner/appetizer/'down' times to taket he pics and get people to sign. I really appreciate her doing that otherwise I wouldn't have had nearly as many signatures and pictures. You'd be surprised how many guests don't bother with the guestbook!
Also, I didn't have the guests sign the actual polariod because I used an Adesso album which allows them to sign right on the album.

Thanks.FH and I already bought the camera and the film (we wanted 100 photos, but Walmart had a sale for 30 photos for $20 so we ended up buying 120). Gosh, is this too much?
