For those of you who did your own makeup....

Did you regret not getting it done?

I am pretty good with makeup, and I just had my first trial. While I really liked it, I didn't see such a huge difference. I was expecting a 'wow' and I didn't get that feeling.....I am wondering if it's worth the money...

i don't regret it at all. my bm and i did it and it was natural, not over the top, my true face showed through, if that makes sense...it was me and not makeup. don't get me wrong, i was wearing makeup, but i was using colors and formulas that i knew were good for me.

If I was confident in my makeup application skills--which I'm not, I would of done my own makeup. On an aside, I really liked my makeup artist and she was very helpful and gave me some great tips which have made a difference.

I thought it would have been a waste of money on my part. I was not please with the mac makeup artists the way I thought i would be. They were good but i liked the way I did my makeup better. It was more natural and I looked like myself.

A one girl's wedding she looked beautiful for the beginning of the wedding and horendous as the night wore on. She didnt know how to touch up and the make-up artist had gone home. They had put on so much that she didnt look like herslef and when it started to come off she couldnt fix it

I did my own and also didn't regret it... I was actually disappointed with the professional make up artists and am glad that I did the trials and determined that it wasn't for me.

I just have to say that I just got my proofs back and you can see such a difference with those BM's who had makeup done and those who didn't. I just think that those of us who had our makeup done have such a nice polished look in the pics - even if we weren't wearing a ton of it! I just wished someone reminded me to reapply lipstick!

Mrs. Wask..that can depend on the type of skin a person has..my make up artist explained that to me. A bride with oily skin needs to frequently chek her makeup regardless of who did it or she will look shiny. Also you have to mak sure you prep the skin the same way a professional would..make a base. Many dont do that and the make up goes away.

I did my own make-up and was happier that way. I knew no one would be able to do what I wanted. (I also do make-up for weddings, so, I created my own base etc... )

I was having so much fun, that I didn't touch up after dancing for hours... so, the pictures at the end do NOT do my make-up any justice....

I also did my own, didn't like one of the trials of a Professional and I thought it was a lot of money for makeup. so I just bought really good products that I liked. Don't regret it one bit.
