For those who got married in November

Have you gotten your thank you yet? And if so, have you gotten them out yet? I have not gotten mine yet, and although people know it takes time, I am afraid people are wondering what the story is. I got married 11/29. Thoughts? Thanks!

Don't stress...you are well within the average time for a thank you. And, with the holidays, people are probably distracted anyway. As long as you get them out before the end of February, I think you are fine.

I went to a wedding in Sept, and haven't gotten that thank you yet. Etiquette gives you 3 months - so you've still got just under 2 if you follow that.

With the holidays and all, no one's thinking you're rude. We got a thank you a few weeks ago for a wedding that was January 2002 - that was what I'd consider late

I wouldn't worry about it just yet. Like Lisa said, with the holidays and all, people are busy and pre-occupied anyway!

I also got a TY almost a year after someone's wedding - that's pushing it (IMHO)

Oh....I got married 10/13 and I am still waiting for my TY pics to come in from my stupid photog! They were 'ordered' 11/22 and I am still waiting, grrrrr......I am just mad at the photog since this is out of my hands obviously.

My wedding was in October and Im just finishing up my thank yous! Im not too worried about it...i think the only people who really care about this stuff are the ones I dont really want to thank anyway (annoying old ladies, people who told me I 'have to have' a white bouquet, etc..) :D Plus, all my good friends have already been verbally thanked so the written thank you is their second one.

We sent our thank you's out. I think you usually have several months to do this but I don't like putting this stuff off.

November - did you receive a photo for yours, or did you do your own?

We got the photos from our photographer. We weren't happy with them though because we look like miniatures. They should have told us we would be too small when they made that photo wallet size.

Leslie, oh believe me, I am going to call the photog this week and find out AGAIN about my pics..one of the reasons I booked them is that they said we would have proofs in 3 weeks, AND that was a joke as well.

I just got all of my TYs out last week, but honestly with the holidays most people aren't looking for them. Plus you have a full 3 months- so you are still within your timeframe.

Re: For those who got married in November

Got married 10/26. Got our proofs mid-November (about 3 weeks after wedding). Picked and submitted thank you picture about 3 weeks later. About 3 weeks after that the pictures were ready. I have had them since a couple weeks before Christmas and only have 20 written. I should be doing them now instead of chatting on this board. I am trying to mail them within three months of my wedding! the holidays really threw me off!
