I didn't book anything yet and people are yelling at me to move my but. I know I want to stay at the Hyatt. I hear that is one of the best hotels. Do I basically just book the best room in the house with the hotel or do I need to go to a travel agency and get brochures or something? Are their pre made packages for Aruba trips? Do you need to get airline tickets and everything now???

Re: For those who went to Aruba....
Forum mail jennbaby, she might be able to help you on this. I think a travel agent may have a good deal for you. We used my BIL's time share and booked our plane on-line, so I can't help you much...

Re: For those who went to Aruba....
Just curious why you are choosing the Hyatt over the Radisson. We stayed at the Radisson for our honeymoon b/c it was virtually brand new(remodeled), had full balconies, bigger rooms, etc. The Hyatt's grounds were beautiful, but we just had to walk a little bit to enjoy them. The pool area, to me, was not as nice as the Radisson's.
Anyway... your travel agent should be able to get you packages for your airfare and hotel. I wouldn't try to book them individually.
You will love Aruba anywhere you stay.

Re: For those who went to Aruba....
I spoke with travel agents and the best deal that I got was through the website for my hotel (the Wyndham) and they have been excellent to deal with. They are a travel agency that I think has some arrangement with the hotel. So you can definitely just hop on the website for the hotel and book through the internet. No fuss, no muss
Edited to add that Jennbaby is the Arube Guru. If you want to know more about Aruba check out my thread from yesterday Calling All Aruba Honeymooners, and read Jenn's book!

Re: For those who went to Aruba....
Go to a travel agent! They will get you a better package and accommodations.
We went all inclusive so I know the Radisson and Hyatt are gorgeous, but be prepared to spend like $30 a person for a dinner entree at the hotel.
