For those with upcoming Anniversaries-what are your plans?
Our 1 year is November 18-we won two nights at Hilton Ft Lauderdale-Ocean view-so that solved our problem, and one night in Orlando for Disney.
What is everyone else doing?
And gifts?
We exchanged early, which is good because moving costs are
For me: My new Mulberry bag and down payment on my Mustang For DH: a recliner he really wanted...and maybe one more thing if i can afford it!

i still have no idea if we're doing presents ....
but we are in the midst of planning a week away.
since i made all the big decisions for the wedding, i gave DH the task of deciding on plans for our anniversary.
he picked virginia beach ... so we're going to spend a few days down there and then go to colonial williamsburg for 2 days.

we went out to dinner at Indian Cover (where we had our rehearsal dinner...my bro got us a gift certificate) and made cards for each other...cheap and easy...but i must say I loved what my card said! Congrats on winning the hotel stays!

I'm so excited! On Friday we're going to my Aunt's in Harrisburg, so we can get an early start on Saturday and go to the PA Ren Faire. We got a hotel package that includes the tix to the Faire, a bottle of wine (the faire is on the grounds of Mt. Hope winery), and a $30 dinner voucher.
On Sunday, we're going to Dorney Park. They're doing their Halloween Haunt, but the waterpark is closed. We're not waterpark types to begin with.
I'm going to be wiped out driving back, but we really need the time away.

We're going to Red Mountain Spa in Utah. I can't wait. DH are on a discover the USA kick, and besides Vegas, neither of us have been to that area. We also love active, hiking vacations.
Not sure about gifts. I feel like the trip is our gift to each other but I'll probably get him something small as well.

We haven't decided yet. We'll probably do the predicted 'paper' gifts, but DH is talking about taking a trip. So far, we've discussed: cabin in the Finger Lakes, trip to Las Vegas with friends, Montreal, and tangentially some other places, but not seriously. We may be moving at the end of December, so that might very likely kill any plans for a trip.

Our fist anniversary is tomorrow, money is tight right now, so we are keeping it simple. I got DH a book & a card and we are making a picnic lunch tomorrow and going to the beach where he proposed to me. Now I just have to remind him to get me a card.

We just got back 2 days ago from Aruba as an early one year ann trip (a month early) and he bought me a beautiful right hand ring with blue diamonds (That I picked out lol). And then on the exact date of our one year we are going back to where we got married (Eastwind) and staying over and watching our wedding video and going to the spa, etc.... can't wait!!

Not sure yet.
It's been a difficult time for us, we just lost his mom two weeks ago and it was the 4th anniversary of my mom's passing.
I'd like a quiet dinner for just the two of us, with a nice evening at home. Maybe we'll break out the wedding video and pick our pictures for the album which we have yet to do.

What I really want to do I cant do which is:
I wanted to have dinner in our hall just for the both of us. With so many guests at our wedding we barely tasted the food so I wanted to try to recreate that night just for the both of us. So now off to plan B.....

We recently went back to Riviera Maya, Mexico, which is where we'd gone on our HM (but to a different resort). The day of the anniversary is up to DH to plan, though (it better be good! )

for our anniversary this year we had a DELICIOUS dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse--and honestly for our 2nd coming up--i think we'll return it was so good!

My husband and I just celebrated our second Anniversary Monday. Money has been really really tight and poor DH has a nasty tooth ache again. So I just made him a Zitti dinner with garlic bread and salad. It was just nice to treat ourselves to a such a nice home made dinner. Its the little things that make all special.
