I was there at 10 am this morning. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR ANY RETURNS. Thank G O D I went to day had I had one item to return. I did have a coupon that that were able to use, so that was great. It was so sad there the workers are like almost in tears, one lady worked for them for 26 years. It's so sad.

Sorry as of yesterday you can't use anything. I had a $25 dream rewards and they couldn't use it.
I asked them and they have nooooo idea they get a new memo everyday with new stuff.

Is it only certain locations that are closing? If you look at the website it doesnt say anything about not being able to order anymore.

I was there Saturday looking @ Patio Furniture. Didn't seem like anything was 'deeply' discounted.
If they are closing, why aren't they discounting anything???

Things definitely aren't deeply discounted - I'm guessing that won't happen until they go into liquidation mode...
Oh, and I don't think they know yet if the store is completely closing or what...I had heard that they had until the end of the month to find a buyer...it doesn't look good, but probably until then they are holding on to some hope...

As for the patio furniture though, we bought a ton of it from them and it was just delivered today...not the cheapest, but we did shop around a little and compare it to other places and found that it was the best deal for the quality...but the discounts they are giving on it now are the same as they did when we ordered it a month and a half ago...

I haven't really shopped around. I was going to go to Sears or maybe Target to compare. I am not expecting much, but know what you mean by the quality or lack of.
I still think no matter where we shop, we are still paying top dollar for lack of quality on some items.

UPDATE
I just called - the stores won't take the gift cards any longer b/c of their new system. Also all sales are final with every purchase. They no longer accept AMEX & DISCOVER.
However I just quickly logged on to Fortunoff . com and was able to make my purchase w/my gift card.
Keep you posted if it does not go through for some reason.
I would HIGHLY suggest anyone with a gift card to make your purchases ASAP on line as I did. GL
