Re: Fortunoff's Liquidation sale

I should take a ride there later tonight.

Just to see if they have anything I can waste more money on

I wanna try and get some jewelry, but I'm sure they're still going to be sold at ridiculous prices

Has anyone actually been to the store in the past week? Has it been a mad-house?

Actually DHs cousin was there the beginning of the week (at night) to close her registry and to buy the rest of her china (her parents were buying it) and she said it was completely dead. She said everyone was walking around like zombies and that they didnt have all that much left in stock.

Maybe with the sale it will pick up again

You can't even get through to them by phone now, they just have a recording. I tried to call them to cancel my on-line order. They better not charge my credit card.

They will refund your money. I know they were cancelling some orders that were placed weeks ago! You'll get it back

I was actually expecting to hear that. I kept forgetting to call them and finally called this morning. Then, I don't care. Maybe I'll try and stop by there. My credit isn't that much anyway. I just don't want to deal with them charging my card and all of that because I already had that happen with them several months ago. Thanks!

Re: Fortunoff's Liquidation sale

Good luck with canceled orders and expecting a refund. I've been getting a run around for the past month. They refunded the amount of a canceled order (which I paid for in gift cards and cash in September-more than 300 bucks) to my Fortunoff credit card. EXCEPT the refund was never posted. I then learned that the store no longer accepted Fortunoff credit cards or honored store credit, and that the refund would not post or be granted because the contract with World Financial Network has ended. I was told to write a dispute letter to World Financial Network.

Prices are usually higher when it is a liquidation sale. Same thing happened to Linens n' Things.

The liquidation company comes in and marks everything up, then 'discounts' it by 10-20% to make it look like a bargain.
Bettter off going to BBB and using the coupons.

I'm just pi$$ed that I can't use my dream rewards certificate and sad to see a legend go.

I was there this past weekend. Everything was mostly 10% off, some things were 20%. It was packed.

I was there and the store was filled with (what i believe to be) crazed psychopaths and the sales weren't that great. IMO it wasn't worth it.

I went on Friday, I walked out with sheets and a toaster oven. The sales must be better now, the most marked down was 30% off a few things everything else was 10-20-% off.
