HUNTA - I mean Hunter. I have been up there for years. I took a brief break about 3 years and went up to Killington but the ride was too much. How about you?

I met my hub - at Hunter Mt. - that was six years ago - so we went up their for two more years - then tried Straton and loved it. Hunter didn't compare - but we don't know what we are going to do this year - we dropped out of the house last year b/c of the wedding expense - they filled our spot so now we don't know - I guess we will just make a few trips up to hunter and some up to Straton. I snowboard - have you tried it?

I tried it once, no lesson just a push off the top. Its two planks for me.
Straton is really nice, how long was that ride? Give Hunter another try a lot has changed. You still cant compare it to Vermont but its close, fun and we have a lot of friends there. We will be heading up on Friday night and I hope to ski on Sat. Think Snow!
That's interesting - what has changed -
I haven't been there in about 3 years?
The ride to Straton is about 4 hours - we went every other weekend and you do get used to it. We would leave by 5 - 5:30 and be up there between 9 - 9:30
Vermont is better for snowboarding - I found it really hard on Hunter - it's truly a steep Mt. - I didn't know that until I went to Straton.

Take a look at their site www.huntermtn.com
The town of Tanersville is still the same if not worse but the actual town of Hunter has been cleaned up and they have dusted off their old expanshion plans.
They 'opened' Monday with one trail top to midstation and download from there - what a joke! Some things never change.
