Frist Anniversary Trip

any idea? We want to do a trip on our aniversary every year. The first year is going to be rough $$$ wise....any suggestions? I know it's like 10 months away but we need to put in for our vacation time.

We just started thinking about this also, we loved where we went for our honeymoon but we would like to try another place.

we want to go on an alaskan cruise sooo bad but they only run may-sept and we'd need 2 weeks vaca and there's no way we'll get 2 summer weeks back to back at the same time.
DH HATES to fly.
and we're poor.

maybe we'll drive down south and stay at a bed and breakfast for a few days.

DH is VERY Picky about hotels, and the majority of european hotels do not meet his critera. So we stayed at a brand name hotel which was a little pricey. I would have loved to stay at a typical paris boutique hotel. Paris can be VERY expensive, especially when it comes to dining, but if you do your research you can probably stick to Paris on a decent budget (we didn't, so unfortunately I'm not much help in that department!)

We went to Costa Rica for our first anniversary--it was amazing-it was a longer and cheaper trip than our HM (Virgin Gorda).

We did nothing....it was so much more important to save money for a house

We are going to Aruba (where we went on our HM) again in July around DH's b-day so thats enough of a vacation for me

I am not sure if we will do one since we really want to start looking for a house next year. If we do go somewhere, it will definitely be back on the same cruise we took for the honeymoon.

we really wanna try and go to antigua [sandals]

who the heck knows whats gunna happen tho . . . even w/ sandals, a basic rm, all inclusive, for 5-6 nights, ur looking at at least $5000 ish for 2 people. . . . grrrrrrrrrrr

just got a all expenses paid trip to Grand Cayman from DH's boss for x-mas. We will go in May.

WOW..that's an awesome Christmas gift!

We are going back to Aruba. Not sure if we will be able to swing it every year (As we both are only interested in staying at the bucuti which is a little $$) but we would really like to!!
