Frustrated and Annoyed (sorry so long)
I will try to make a long story short ...I am just so entirely frustrated with my photography situation.
Here's what went wrong:
(keep in mind i was married over a year ago!)
1. didn't love proofs -- more of a problem of what pictures were not taken that what was taken.
2. thank you pictures came back horrible -- apparently i chose a 'bad' picture, because when reduced in size, the picture lost clarity (pictures are digital) - NO ONE told me this when i chose it, only afterwards.
---> problem was remedied by photographer making me beautiful thank you cards hallmark style.
3. after a long delay (lack of enthusiasm about pictures), we finally chose and ordered album pictures and enlargements.
---> enlargements came in shortly thereafter, however order was wrong, but again, problem remedied.
---> albums came in 2 1/2 mos. later than told they would come in. parents albums were beautiful. my album had 2 pictures that were so horribly out of focus i cant imagine this photog. would even want them associated with an album of his! had to leave album behind so pictures could be re-ordered (again, NO ONE informed me that these pictures would not work well with the effect we chose).
FINALLY, today, i get my album (sent to me, being the office is so far away). i'm loving it, until i see that the 8 candid shots we chose to be in b&w are really SO dark. i think im being picky so i dont say anything until my DH - who is NOT a complainer - comments how bad the b&w pictures look.
I AM SO ANNOYED AND FRUSTRATED. should i call up the photog. and ask that they re-do all these pictures, having to schlep it back to the office and wait even longer? or should i just s*ck it up and deal with it? i really just do not want to think about this anymore!!
argh! thanks to those of you that got through this whole pst and offer advice ... i dont normally post more than a sentence here and there but i figured no one could understand this feeling like the LIW newlyweds!!

I would absolutely send it back! You paid A LOT of money for your photographer and he should do right by you!

Michele, send it back. there is no reason you should have to 'live with it'. you should be happy.

most definately send it back!!!!!!They should not even want to represent their own company in this manor!
I think you should be compensated somehow for all of their 'mistakes'

M-I too had a lot of issues with my photographs. Same reasons, it wasn't so much what I had, rather, what I didn't have. I'm approaching my 1 yr. anniversary and only now have I ordered an album. Mind you, this is part of their remedy to me... I would've never ordered and paid for an album. Even though this is free to me, and I'm not paying a cent... I will accept nothing less than what I wanted. The fact that you're paying for it, I'd send it back. Because, even though you might be willing to s*ck it up now and just deal... a few years from now, and a few years after that you'll always be miffed when you look at your album, and that shouldn't be the case.

Send it back! You spent a lot of money and should be completely satisfied with the work. The waiting and the schleping really stinks but in the end you will be happy you did it!

thanks for all your responses. i so do not feel like dealing with this, but you are all right, i need to get this fixed so i am not disappointed forever! i'll let you know what happens
