Re: Fun Snack Ideas

I make an amazing dip if you want to try it ---

in a glass baking dish put cream cheese, I use either philly whipped or temptee since they are easy to spread .. cover the bottom of the dish with the cream cheese, then add a can of chili - I use hormel (no beans) but you can use whatever you like, and kind of spread the chili on top of the cream cheese (youre not mixing, you want this to be layered) then top with shredded cheese (I use sharp cheddar but again, whatever you like) ..

bake in the oven at 350 until the cheese is completely melted ..

Its not the most healthy dip but its AMAZING -- we eat it with Scoops, they are hard enough so they dont break and they hold a lot of it... So good.

Re: Fun Snack Ideas

Yeah actually, Costco, BJs and Sams Club all have many different types of appetizers and fingerfoods readily available. Costco has the best stuff in my opinion.

Re: Fun Snack Ideas

i just posted this on the 2010 boards but you, but I'll repost here .

Texas Caviar--YUM!!!

2 cans of black-eyed-peas (with Jalapenos if you can find them, if not, you might want to add a little diced jalapeno)
1 10-oz can rotel – I use the original/medium
2 avocados, diced
1 small green serrano pepper, diced
½ red onion, diced
¾ cup zesty Italian dressing
1 TBS lime juice
¼ tsp of salt or as necessary

Just throw it all together and you’re good to go. Probably give it a bit of time in the fridge before serving.
