Funny story

Yesterday morning I took out a package of sausages to make on the grill for dinner. I left the package on the corner of the sink so it could defrost. ( I have been bad lately and haven't done the dishes, so I couldn't put them in the sink to defrost)

I get home and DH tells me that he saw the dog playing with a plastic zip lock bag. I said 'oh I must've dropped one on the floor when I took one out of the cabinet'.....DH goes to fire up the grill, I am cutting up veggies...and then he asks me for the sausage. I said 'I don't have them, didn't you take them off of the counter??' He said 'no'.

I automatically looked down at the puppy. I was angry at first b/c I didn't want to have to defrost another package and I was hungry lol But then I realized it was my fault for leaving it too close to the edge on the counter I suppose.

So, in the end I realized that not a one sausage was left..not one..out of 7!!!! The puppy ate 7 raw sausages.

DH said he pooped in the house, and now I know why. I just hope he doesn't get sick from eating the raw meat..but he seemed fine!!! lol

I will now leave all of my meat to defrost in the fridge like I should anyway :(

OMG!!! I would have been so mad but not at puppy! At myself! When I used to stay with DH at his parents house, he had a dog that would eat EVERYTHING. There were plenty of times he ended up with the dinner.

Oh no!!! We trained our dog very quickly that taking anything of the table was unacceptable. It's hard though when they're puppies. they do make for cute stories though

He won't get sick from eating raw meat, dogs actually love raw meat.

my cousin has to lock away any counter top food in the microwave to keep the dog from getting it....

I don't know why he does it, it's not like I ever fed him anything off of the counter. I don't give him food...although maybe DH does it behind my back, but I don't think he does.

Everytime he tries to get whatever is on the counter, I yell at him and tell him to get down...he does it EVERY TIME..even after I yell at him hardcore and chase him away lol he comes back like nothing happened....I hope he learns eventually.

Oh no!!! Is Artie that big that he can jump up and reach the counter?! For some reason I thought he was smaller. I took out sausages for dinner tonight, and left them on the counter to defrost, too, but Oz would never! He knows we'd beat his butt if he ever even glanced in that direction

He doesn't jump up onto the counter, but he gets up on his hind legs and sniffs around, apparently the bag was too close to the edge and he snagged it lol :( little *******.

I can't wait until he is older and figures out that he shouldn't do that. Maybe Oz can teach him some things lol

Some lady DH ran into with another Beagle, told him that after about a year, they really calm down and start to listen....we have 6 more months to go lol
