Funny things that happened/went wrong at your wedding

I'm sure we all had our fair share of wedding mishaps, some funnier than others (and some funny now, but not so much then)

Share 'em!

don't even get me started on this..... I'm still in therapy.

I'll start...

1. the fire alarm went off for about 30 seconds during our anniv dance due to a 'waffle malfunction' in the VH.... luckily it stopped before anyone started to evacuate

2. A 'friend' who is known for getting too drunk (I posted about her in the past) didn't let us down and got WASTED. Within the first hour, I had to tell the bridal attendant to try to have her cut off .... but at the after party I find out that she asked my dad to clear her plate, thinking he was a server since he was in a tux. It's not like she never met him before, and I'm pretty sure this happened AFTER the toasts. (keep in mind, my parents hosted the wedding)

3. I really wanted to make it outside during the CH... and just as I get to the door and see a table full of friends I hadn't had a chance to see yet, DH steps on the back of my dress, I hear 'rrrrripp!' and my glass of wine goes down the front of my dress. Luckily I knew to only drink clear beverages, and it dried in 10 seconds without a stain... and I don't think my dress was damaged in the front or back. What a glam entrance... I hope the videographer got it

4. Among other things my rabbi did that were NOT what we had discussed.... he called DH by his father's name once during the ceremony.

5. My little 7 year old cousin watched us take a few BP shots at the end of dinner and told the photographer 'that was an excellent shot, i love how the bridesmaids are alternating with the groomsmen' and later told my mom 'you're just as beautiful as the day you were married' (which was a good 25+ years ago, well before he was born)

6. One of my non-Jewish friends put on a yarmulke at our afterparty, whipped out someone's laptop (we were in a hotel room for part of the time) and officiated a facebook status-change ceremony... which we got on video and which will be on youtube sometime this weekend

There are definitely not-so-funny things that went wrong, but I'm leaving those out. This is only for the funny

One of my fake toenails popped off in the limo - I was wearing peep-toes.

My hair got mangled b/c DH and I drove to the RH in a convertible..

The best man speech was about 15 mins long, he almost got boo'd.

Nothing really went 'wrong'...

Funniest/best thing - our friends did the thriller dance.

I feel exactly the same way!!!

Ok Dh and i slept in the same bed the night before. I could not sleep, I kept thinking I was going to forget something in the morning. I am a dumby so I took Nyquil. Finall fell asleep about 3 and the alarm went off at 6 for me to get up and head to my moms hotel.
I get there and my mom tells me my grandparents could not get here and my cousin and her husband and 3 kids were not going to make it. I lost it. Could not quit crying.
About 2 my grandma calls and said they are going to make it.
ETA: we got married in TN. We and all my family live in GA except my granparents and cousin live in FLorida.
My sister (MOH)was doing everyones hair except mine, But decided she had time to go to the outlet mall. So everyones hair ended up being crappy.
I went to leave to go to the chapel. (I am supposed to get dressed there). Well, my car keys were gone. so my mom took me there. I was lugging my dress, make-up and a duffle bag. SO by the time I got there. My make-up and hair were wet. It was so hot.
I had been on my feet all day and my feet were swollen and my wedding shoes did not fit. I had to were some white flip flops I bought for the reception.
A bee flew in my veil right before I walk in the chapel and the BM had to get it out.
Last but not least. I was SWEATING walking down the isle.
Oh and at the reception by boobs kept creeping out of my dress trying to say hello to the guest. So my reception pics all came out bad cause of my boobs unwanted attention.

Phew!!!!!!!

ETA: Found my keys the next day. My 2 yr old nephew hid them in a the ice box in the back of the mini fridge....

OMG you can wear fake toenails?? i had no idea those existed.

our best man speech was way too long and way too many inside jokes.... not to mention the part that went something like this 'the night bill met silvana, he told me he met two girls that night. obviously silvana was special enough to make it this far' i looked at DH like since when was there another girl that night?!? you came home with ME?! whatever, i let it go. still a jackass move though.

Wellllll..........

It began to POUR as we were about to get into the limos. That was ok because I got a rainbow!!!

DH burned my dress about 10 mins after we finished pics. That was ok because you couldn't even see it.

I was crying so hard during the father daughter dance that my dad kept stepping on my toes to make me laugh...that hurt like h e l l the next day.

DH's obnoxious drunk friend 'accidently' let a beer bottle slip out of his hand on the balcony of the RH.

Oh and my hair.....well it didn't hold up. We will leave it at that!

Well...we had 4 crashers at our wedding. They actually posed for a pic or two (that I didn't know about til I saw the proofs.) and they are on our video as well. Lets just say that we have to FF past that part when we watch the video b.c DH wants to throw the TV out the window.

1. My dad after giving me away at the alter, stepped on my train while heading to his seat, tried to correct himself and practically fell over (it's all on video)
2. My dress got caught in my shoes when I was climbing the stairs to the alter. You can see in the video my hesitation while climbing the stairs. I totally thought I was going to fall!
3. While getting announced in at the recpetion, my FG tripped on her dress and fell up the stairs at the RH and our RB just took off and didn't look back (he was 8),.After the speech she comes to our table hysterically crying (she was 7), tells us she ruined our wedding...I told her stop crying, she didn't 'ruin our wedding' and get on the dance floor and dance.. We had no idea this happened, but again it's all on video!
4. Our BM (DH's brother) during his speech, tells my DH that he can't believe that DH got married before him and never thought he would get married before him! DH is only 10 months younger! Get over it!!
5. One of my coworker's got totally drunkat the reception and puked on herself at her table.. I know TMI and totally gross She ended up spending the whole night in the bathroom, where random people had to go check up on her every half hour (I found this out when we got back from our honeymoon from my co-workers)
These are our stories.. Just a few minor things.. our day was FANTASTIC overall!!

the only mishap i really had was when i was walking out of the church. As we were going down the stairs my cathedral veil got stuck to the carpet in the hallway and pulled me back. I almost fell but thank god i did my best to hold myself up and stay bent backwards while people unhooked my veil from the carpet. I found it histerical actually and couldn't stop laughing, and its funny but those are some of my favorite pics.

During the ceremony DH had a hard time putting his ring on, everyone kept laughing and dh made a joke about it...guess his hands were sweaty hahaha. But also a funny moment for me.

oh yeah dh threw up in the bathroom in the bridal suite. He was drinking scotch on the party bus, we stopped to get him coffee a block away from the RH. Then when we got to the bridal suite he decides to eat lobster and was soaking it in butter sauce. His stomach is a bit weak and the combo of scotch, coffee and butter sauce in about 30 mins made him puke.

other than that nothing really happened.

The biggest thing that happened was after the ceremony when we got on the bus, my cousin was histerically crying and ran off the bus, i tried to ask her what happened and was stoping her to talk to me but she just ran off, and then i didnt know what happened. We were all so confused. Then someone came on the bus and told us her bf was in a car accident so we were all worried. Then while taking pics we get a phone call to ask where we were and she showed up with her bf. He was fine and didnt have a scratch on him, i think it was just a small fender bender, but i was upset that somebody would call her to say he was in an accident and not say 'BUT HE IS OK' how can somebody do that. At least let her know there was nothing to worry about instead of having her think the worst.

During my ceremony I couldnt say my vows b/c my lips were trembling too much

ETA: Oh yeah I had to go pee at the reception so I had 4 girls in there with me holding my dress up
