we are looking for a new living room set and don't want to break the bank. Can you ladies recommend anywhere in LI or NYC that would be reasonable
We are looking for very comfie furniture...we are not big into the traditional or leather look

Check out Costco. I've heard that their furniture is great quality and from what I've seen online, their prices are pretty reasonable.

DH had most of his stuff when I moved in, but we did buy a couch for our 'den/computer room' from Jennifer Convertibles. It was reasonable and has a pull-out bed for when we have company

I don't think there's one on LI, but we bought the majority of our furniture from Bobs. We were able to buy a complete king sized bedroom set, a sofa and loveseat, and a dining room table with 8 chairs for around $5000. They do have a website and if you see anything you like, it may be worth a trip to Stamford.

Seigerman's on Rout 110 North. South of Long Island Expressway, North of Southern State.
Also affordable is The Place, whic is directly across the street on the Southbound side.

We got our living room from Seaman's and our dining room from Fortunoff.
Our bedroom set was the Leksvik line from Ikea and we each had a few pieces in our parents's houses and when we got married, our furniture did too!

Everything else I ordered from Black's Furniture in North Carolina:
Thomasville - dining room Lane Furniture - master bedroom
I've only lived in my house for 10 months, that's all I bought so far but I plan to order everything else from North Carolina.

The only knew thing I bought was a coffee table, from Levitz- I am havign trouble with there delivery tought ,attempt #3 is at the end of the month. Other thigns I accumulated over the years from Ikae, Sears, Seamns & Unpainted Furniture city ( i nHicksville-Love that place!)
