Jennifer,

LOVE the plates. Looks like you're off to a great start... I think off white walls for sure and maybe for the curtains you can do a pop of color and tie the curtains back with a different color....

OK I was SOO picturing Shantung/Dupioni silk curtains. I love them. I love the candlelight dupioni with the burnt orange buttons.... Or maybe even do a valence with a different color?

Ok so here are my thoughts... I would paint the walls apricot and choose the following below as well. I would use that blue curtain as a pop of color. It matches well with everything else, even though it's not the same color palate. I feel as all together with the white curtains, orange buttons, apricot walls and all those plates in the same coloring... it's too matchy for me.... What ya think ?

blue really??? hum... but w/a scratching head

Rule of thumb is 3 color palette can add 4 for accents
I have..
off white
natural wood
orange/apricot
bright orange for pop.

Hey Jennifer,

Not exactly a valence, but draping a piece of fabric in the middle...

Not the best picture, but a visual

I think I knew where you were going with that.. However that might be too fancy for the area b/c there are 4 windows in a row that go in kind of a octagon shape. Than there is another window the other far side.
c my point - I think the window treatments will overwhelm the room if I go too fancy.

I like the idea of the draping, except instead of doing it for each window only do it on the window frame

This is what the table will look like when I am done - (note the two tone wood)

Loving the vino sign. Can I ask where you purchased it from? My vote for the plates would be #1 & #2 as the ones I like. Based on the plates and color scheme your going for I recommend #1, #3, #4.

Ahhhhh I can't wait to get a so I can decorate .

ETA:the #4

The sign I purchased on my HM in a random wine store in Sonoma - Sorry Kat

Thanks for your input.. I agree with your suggestions.. I am really having a hard time with this wall color and curtain situation.

...Next project lighting over the table

am I getting ahead of my self or what.
