George Foreman Grill?

George Foreman Grill?

So we got this back in the day when we were first engaged. I didn't use it until now, and I do not like it. It's the big one and it doesn't even have an on and off switch!! Or a heat level switch! WTH????

I plugged it in and you could see the sparks in the outlet b/c the unit is obviously on as soon as you plug it in.

It also seems to have cooked the chicken more on one side.

Anyone else use this and not like it as well? Or am I doing something wrong???

It sounds like we have the grill and I love mine. We had the sparks issue too - I learned that you have to wait for the red light to turn off before you unplug it - no sparks when you plug in the next time. The food was cooked evenly - I use it mostly for cooking lamb chops and hamburgers. I haven't grilled chicken on it yet.

my grill also doesn't have an on/off switch, which annoys the crap outta me!! It just turns on the moment you plug it in. But other than that, mine works great. It cooks evenly. However, it's the worst ever to have to clean afterwords. I don't usually mind cleaning things, but this is a PAIN!! Like I have scrub it intensely.

i miss my george foreman we have to get another one....i used to make grilled chicken on it all the time - if you marinate chicken in italian dressing and grill it its delicious and so easy! but its kind of stinky using it - thats why i dont have it anymore our apartment is so small it will be so smelly

I hate it. It's so tough to clean. We actually just got an indoor grill and it's so much better and much easier to clean.

I didn't have any italian dressing, or else I would've done that. Instead I used BBQ sauce and it was not good at all :( DH and I actually said that we hated it lol

The one thing I can say about it, it was juicy as hell. I will try it again, but I hate that there are no real 'Settings'.

I registered for one then returned it. We have a big indoor grill we use which is much better and easier to clean

I hate cooking chicken on that it dries it out so much, I only make burgers and paninis on it. I love mine because I can remove the plates to clean it easier.

I have one that I do like.. sounds like a diff one than you described though.. mine has temp & timer settings and removable plates for easier washing.

Wasn't too expensive.. it was $50 -20%off at BBB = $43.45 (with tax)
