Original post by michele31
Name: Michele (aka Michele31) Town: Ronkonkoma, but mostly raised in West Babylon. Occupation: Director of Public Relations Age: 32 now, but I was 31 when I got engaged. will be 33 this Aug. 6th. Wedding Date: Nov. 2, 2002 Honeymoon: We went to South Africa and Zimbawee
I am currently 19 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Our baby is due on 11/29/03. We do not know if it is a or . I normally work in NYC, but due to a compressed nerve problem (aka baby) I now work from home because the 2 hour commute each way is too much and very painful.
I have a cat named Beemer. She is not that independant, just feed me once a day type cat at all. She is a very baby-like cat who needs lots and lots of attention. But I adore her. There is a photo in my profile along with wedding vendor info.

Name: Pam (AKA oneday) Town: Southold - origilnally from Levittown Occupation: Executive Assistant (at least that's what my card says but I work in a VERY SMALL office for Art consulting so, I do a little of everything) Age: 30 this past April Wedding Date: June 13, 2003 can't believe it'll be a month soon!) Honeymoon: 11 days in England - drove around the countryside and mostly stayed in B&B's though we had 3 nights in a 'haunted castle' that was amazing and then 4 days in London. I was so sad to go back to work last monday!! DH: Scott - he's a marine biologist
We don't have any pets yet - we'll probably get a cat (or hopefully cats) maybe soon - we have his sister's wedding in Atlanta in August so we think maybe we should wait till after that I'd love to get a dog but, they're so much work esp. if we're not home much, plus, we can't agree on one...I want a tiny little 5-10 pounder - he wants a German Shepherd.
I'm still trying to get back into real life after all the wedding planning and stuff (I'm actually pretty sad that it's over)
Here's a picture from the honeymoon outside the castle we stayed in. (Wish i could still be there )
Name: Doreen Husband: Mike Town: Grew up in Merrick, went to graduate school in Baton Rouge (LSU), then to Westchester for a little bit and now currently in Dallas, TX. Occupation: Account Supervisor for a Marketing Firm Married: 12/29/03 Honeymoon: NYC and Playa del Carmen, Mexico Pets: A 3 year old Black Lab named Ranger (an 80lb dog that thinks he is a lap dog!)
We just bought our first home in a suburb of Dallas. I love be a homeowner and sitting in my backyard and just relaxing, but I definately miss being able to walk to the bars and Starbucks when we lived in the city!
I love theatre and dance. I play the piano and am working on how to teach myself how to play the guitar.
Edited to add that I also traveled around Italy with Pam (oneday), who just posted above me, while in college and we bumped into each other on these boards a while back!

Name: Julianne Town: Wantagh (bought our first home about 6 months ago) Occupation: Speech-Language Pathologist Age: 25 Wedding Date: April 12, 2003 Honeymoon: Costa Rica DH: Andrew DH Age: 25 Occupation: Web Developer We're not TTC for another few years.
DH and I are the same age and born on the same exact day! People always think we are teenagers and that we are brother and sister!!!!
Together we like fixing up the house, going to the beach (he can surf and I can relax), walking, traveling when we can, Montauk, and whatever else daily life brings us!
I like to read, cook (we're both vegetarian), and be on the computer! I currently work in a school with physically handicapped children and do some homecare with the birth to three population. I'm a Hofstra grad. Also, I teach a computer group of women about digital imaging, computer use/troubleshooting (Mac and PC), and digital video.
Here's a pic of the two of us from last summer. We're out at Montauk.
Hey Doreen!! Wouldn't mind being back there either!!
edited to add - keep and eye out for Pickle now too, do you remember her, Marie - she was my roommate there? She's getting married next June and I've introduced her to the addiction
see I learned something...I always thought of you as Marn Les...

Re: Getting to know each other- facts and photos
Hi- I'm Jenn (obviously) and I'll be 25 in October. I grew up in West Babylon and recently bought a house in Centereach. I'm a financial analyst for Publishers Clearing House and believe me, I wish I could hook us all up. I hope to go back to school to be a high school social studies teacher soon, though.
I love to read, travel, bake and work out. Too bad those last two contradict each other.
DH's name is Patrick and he's an electronic engineer. He plays the guitar and bowls in a pretty competitive league.
We have a cocker spaniel named Jake. He's our baby for now.
Oh...we'll be married 2 years this month. Our honeymoon was a cruise to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and New Orleans.
Picture to come when I emerge from the 20th century and get a scanner.
