Gift Ideas (Again) for a friend re-locating!

Hi Ladies,

I need help with a gift again. My best friend is re-locating to California ! I want to get her something useful but cool, personal and something that she'll always have. Her birthday is in a month - so don't worry about money! Any ideas?

How about a sterling key ring from Tiffany. You can have it engraved with her initials, and she will always have it. You can tell her it is for her new house keys in California. They have different types, different prices. Check out their website for ideas - I got these for my BMs.

When my best friend moved I made her a scrapbook of our friendship, and of the things she loved in our town. (I was 16 at the time, and she still has and treasures that scrapbook! )

My bridal party made one for me and gave it to me at my shower. I know I will love and keep it forever. If you and she are sentimental, it might be a good idea.

Thanks ladies ... I'm going to try to piece together a small scrapbook for her to take - thank goodness we'll have our scanner soon! I also love the tiffany keychain idea - I'm going to check that out!

Those are all great ideas, I love scrap books too. You can get really creative with scrap books. (Take a visit to Michael's Crafts !)
Some other ideas : A jewelry box ? A nice watch ?
A 'friendship' frame with pics of the 2 of you for her new place. I'm thinking of things that she will have in front of her, or use, very often :)
Maybe you can make a basket and mix in a couple of these items ? and throw in things that remind you of things you did together ?
