I have no idea what to get my MIL & FIL for Christmas this year. In the past we've gotten them things like wine, show tickets or restaurant gift certificates. Any ideas?

Re: gift ideas for IL's
I would get them things that they like and fits their style. Last christmas I bought a green pashmina for MIL bc her favorite color is green, plus got her a bracelet I knew she would love, and dh and i also got her other things that were her style.
FIL is a huge sports fan and a huge yankees fan so we got him a yankees jacket, this enormous book on baseball history, and each page was every year in history in baseball and things that happened. I think Dh also got him some other stuff he needed.

We may be getting a wedding picture custom framed and matted for DH's parents (quite pricey and never knew how much it was until we went to Michaels yesterday!) Its hard to buy for them though because they are far away and DH often gives them money or whatever.
We may get my parents a nice Henckels knife set. I got one as a wedding gift and love it so much and I know my mom has commented that she wants one too! I try to get them things they need around the house. New silverware, steak knives, tupperware, pasta bowl set, etc. Just things they are in need of and that they complain about all the time! LOL

If I was to get my ILs a Christmas present, I was thinking of a gift basket from one of my two favorite sites - one has great breakfast products and the other is an amazing chocolate company.

I think I'm going to do a basket of baking supplies for MIL. Williams Sonoma has an adorable Snowman shaped Cake Pan so I'll get that and the ingredients for the Cake and maybe a cookbook or something else to go with it.

We do the GC to a restaurant and they always love it. They don't really like things or as they call it 'clutter' so the GC is something they always use and enjoy.

We usually get his parents restaurant gc's too b/c they love going out to dinner. This year, I also want to get some wedding photos blown up and put into nice frames for each member of our families. I think that will be a really nice, personal touch.

If you are interested in doing photo books for ILs, Shutterfly is running a special, 20% off the book and if you get more than one its an additional 10% off plus free shipping - this week only. I think I'm going to make little brag books for all our grandparents.

Uh-oh. Is this the snowman that stands upright? Dont do it! My sister had this and the snowman was so f-ed up that he fell over and they had to trash the whole project! PS - my sister is a huge baker and cake decorator so for her to say she hated that project means its pretty bad!
