Gift question- sorry another one

Hi.

Back in August I received an email from Macy's stating that someone had purchased our microwave off of our registry. They said it would not ship out until 10/29 due to it being on backorder- cool no problem. We later find out DH's cousin had purchased it.

Well 10/29 came and went still no microwave. I called CS and they said it is still on backorder and will not ship out until 12/4.

Ok, I jumped the gun and called yesterday to see if it was on schedule. The CS rep tells me that this item is no longer available online, and they have called the purchaser to tell her that she needs to come into the store to order it. They said they have attempted to contact her twice, but no response.

At this point I am ready to buy it myself. DH says we should wait.

Honestly I have no faith in this family. The mother's check bounced, the rest of the family stiffed us.

I WANT MY MICROWAVE.

What would you do????

I think it would be ok to mention it to your DH's cousin. They may have already paid for it or whatever.

I would want to know if I ordered something as a gift for someone and the store was giving the run around!!
