Gifts for Parents-to-Be

You ladies have been so helpful recently. Here's the deal, a close friend of mine is having a baby with his girlfriend. I'm meeting her for the first time this weekend and want to bring something for the parents-to-be. I want it to be a gift for the couple (baby gifts will come later), but something that can be memorable.
Thoughts?

I know my friend bought her friend (mother to be) a pregnancy book and the father to be a book about what not to say to your pregnant wife. They both really appreciated it!

We got this for a friend of ours and they absolutely LOVE it, it's so funny. And I'm so requesting it when I get pregnant...baby owner's starter kit

I got my friend a gift certificate to a spa for once the baby is born to have a day to herself...she loved it!

I would bring them books like a pp said. That's what I've gotten so far from friends and they're a great help. Also, I'm superstitious, don't know if she is, but thank god no one has given me baby outfits or anything, I wouldn't have been able to bring them home.

Some fun books for her:
Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy
Belly Laughs

for him:
My Boys Can Swim: The official guy's guide to pregnancy
Yes, You're Pregant But What About Me

There are other more serious books, but these are funny ones. If you wan serious ones, Your Pregancy Week by Week is excellent, and Baby Bargains is a MUST-HAVE for when it comes time to register.
