Gifts from bridal party
Most of my bridal party was from out of town and spent a lot of money to come to our wedding. Most of them also didn't get us any gifts, which is totally fine. Here's the question - I was the maid of honor at one of my bridesmaid's wedding a month later which was out of town for me as well, flight & hotel room. I didn't get a gift from her, do a get her one and if so budget?I really have no idea what to do.

Re: Gifts from bridal party
MOH I would say always say yes even if it is just a small token of your friendship. What about something small from waterford? or maybe flowers at the hotel or some type of surprise for her wedding night? But I also don't believe in gift for gift matching IMO it defeats the purpose. I believe that you should give what you can.. if it is cash it is cash... if its a scrapbook its still time well spent.
Do you know for sure you aren't getting gifts from your bridal party.. they still have 11 months.

Re: Gifts from bridal party
This may sound petty but if her situation was the same as far as coming to your wedding and she didn't get you a gift then I wouldn't get her one.Maybe just a card.

Re: Gifts from bridal party
i would do something small like a token i like the lenox or waterford idea or maybe set some thing up with the hotel like some like night snacks for the bride and groom or some dessert sent to the room. i dont like going to someones wedding and coming empty handed even if they didnt give me anything i would be the bigger person and give something. i dont think i would do money though. you should perhaps buy something that is left on her registry.

My MOH, who's a PhD student, flew in too. She got me a lovely Lenox vase. Maybe something like that? Lenox also makes gorgeous frames.
