I gave mine Gift Certificates to their favorite restaurant..

My son and daughter-in-law had one of the photos taken of my husband and me at their wedding enlarged. It's 30 X 36 inches and they had it framed to match our wedding portrait. It's above our bed on the opposite wall, almost like a before and after.
It is a gift we both treasure.

We gave each set tickets to a show or concert. For my mom/stepdad - Moody Blues tickets, for my dad/stepmom - Elvis Costello tickets, and for my MIL/FIL - Les Mis tickets

we got picture frames for all the moms (me - 1 DH 3!!!) - Cuban cigars for my dad....good scotch for Dh's uncle (father figure)

but we also got my parents a really nice big sceen tv they had their eye on, since they paid for 1/2 the wedding (they first told us one amount...then put more money in...so we figured since we were spending less...we'd give a little back)

We got them their albums and my mother wanted an enlargement that we ordered for her with a mat and frame.

$100 each was our budget for our parents. My husband and I gave my parents a DVD player and since his parents are old they received a leather desk chair, and all the fixings for their desk where they make out their bills. Both sets of parents were surprised.

We brought B-way tickets for both sets of parents and the two of us, then treated them to dinner afterward. It was a really nice day and they really enjoyed it.
