Girls Im having a really bad day

Sorry to whine but My DH got me up so latethis morning, then I went to take a ballet class and I ****** it up. Then I waited at a broadway audition for 5 hours and then they told us Oh sorry we cant see you AFTER they kept telling us to wait around. There are a couple other things that went wrong today but those a more personal. Im sorry I just wanted to get it out to somebody sometimes I HATE being a dancer

It's difficult pursuing the things we love sometimes. Hang in there!! I hope tonight is okay and tomorrow is MUCH better.

I am so sorry for your crappy day From one actor to another i totally feel your pain! Dont worry - it's all the tryin' that gets u to be a star! on a happy note, ur the second actor this week that i've found on here - i always thought i was all by my lonesome!

I'm so sorry! Another actor here so I feel your pain. What was it for?

All of a sudden the actors are coming out of the woodwork! Awesome!

I had like 8 lines when I was in A Chorus Line and I was Scared out of my mind to go on stage haaaaaa. Do you go to dancer calls??? I also work at Steps the dance studio. That would be funny if we actually know eachother

I took classes at Steps back in the day when I was first starting out (geez talking mid 90's here)- they had great classes then!

I'm sorry you had a bad day. Hey think of it this way- you coulda done what I did- leave the business and teach bratty kids and have a bad day with THEM!

I did musical theater and dance when I was younger- but gave it up after high school. I'm thinking of getting back into it...but I need voice lessons to brush up and help me prepare an audition piece. I'm just talking about community theater, here- definitely wouldn't be good enough for broadway.

Anyone know any good voice teachers? I looked on craigslist and contacted a few people...but you never know with craigslist. . .

Like the pp said, you have my dream job!!!!!!! I've always wanted to be a professional dancer but unfortunately life didn't lead me that way.

I don't know any voice teachers on LI unfortunately I do have the names of a few people here in the city though! What theatres are you interested in auditioning for? When I was a teenager I worked at lots of theatres on the Island. Let me know if you need any suggestions
