Re: girls that work from home...
I work from home occasionally. DH works from home all the time!I work part-time for a doctor and I'm the only employee. Whenever the doctor goes away or closes the office on a random day I work from home and answer the phones remotely.
DH owns a talent agency and we are both voice actors so the rest of the time we just fend for ourselves. It's great but takes a lot of work!

Re: girls that work from home...
I currently work full-time in an office, however- I have a side business for wedding invitations (and all things wedding related)...that is turning into potentially a full-time job in the near future- so I'd be able to work from home!I don't know if I'd want to work from home all the time though...it seems like fun, but part-time working and part-time from home is probably better not to get stir crazy for me at least

I work part - time from home and part - time not at home. I'm a freelance writer for several local news websites and for another website.

One of my MOH's works from home full time and she's always telling me how she goes stir crazy! She's a writer and editor for broadwayworld.com, so she's attached to her laptop all day long with stories. She started going to coffeeshops just to at least be in the presence of other human beings, and while sometimes it does have its perks, I know she misses working with other people (in person, compared to email all day).
And a side note: DH and I got our wedding invitations from a woman we were referred to who does them out of her home, I assume part time. She's a mom and I think she kind of used the business for some extra income.

Difficulty in commuting is one of the many reasons people seek home-based jobs. Since you’re looking for an opportunity to work from home, I’ll suggest getting into medical transcription. The job is genuine (unlike many other online jobs) and will help you generate a decent income once you get established. As for credentials, the first Career Step medical transcription school. Why don’t you check it out as well?Welcome New Vendors
