Girls what did you all do with your dresses?

Ok, so mine is hanging up (I know bad) in the bag it came in on my china closet..a month later. I have NO place to put it. It is too big for all my closets and drags on the floor. I could try to stuff it in there though. Hubby suggested I just store it at my family's house, but I want it with me. I called one dry cleaner and they said the minimum amount of $ to dry clean and box it up is $200. I really don't feel like spending that much money. There are dirt stains on the bottom. Can I just put it ina box and put it under my bed? I have no clue where I would even get a box that would fit it? Should I just shell out the money and get it dry cleaned? I need to do something with it

I had mine cleaned and preserved. The box is currently at my parents' house because I don't have room for it.

hmmm well we left for the HM the day after the wedding and didnt go home first so my mom took the dress with her. Its just hanging out at her house. I will eventually get it cleaned/boxed

almost a year later and mine is still hanging in our spare bedroom in it's bag. I look at it everyday and tell myself I need to get it cleaned....I just love looking at it hanging there

mine is hanging at my mom's house in the bag it came in. i still have to get it cleaned and preserved but i didnt even look into it yet.

For those of you who have it hanging up, good for you. Mine is currently wrapped up in a sheet on the floor in my parents bedroom. Something I said, I would never do.
My initial plan was to get it cleaned & preserved. My local dry cleaner quoted me $250 to do this. But after taking a good look at it only the bottom of the dress is dirty from walking around outside. My mom is concerned that having it cleaned it going to mess up the bead work. So we are going to box it up ourself. If I ever want to use the skirt for something in the future (my children) I will have the piece individually cleaned.

I'm embarrassed to admit that it's in the bag on the floor in my mother's basement - together with some shower gifts that I STILL haven't taken to the house! I really need to get on that.....

Wow I thought I was the only one who had not gotten it cleaned and preserved yet....

It is hanging on the door of the spare room.

Over $200 bucks? Yikies.....Maybe I will start to save money in a drawer as a cleaning of the dress fund.

i think it's in my mom's closet...not sure though! I plan on cleaning it and donating it.

I'd shell out the cash. Though I can't really judge because we ere date twins and mine is still hanging in the bag I got it in, in my mom's closet, dirty as all hell. I need to get it dry cleaned though for our TTD shoot on July 22nd!

It's hanging in my closet in the bag, but I had to safety pin it to the bag because it's strapless and I cut off the hanger straps, so I hope it's not ruined. I need to get it cleaned, it got really dirty on the bottom because it rained my day. I may be doing a day after though, so then I guess I have to clean it twice? UGH. I really need to do something about it though, it's been almost 7 months.

Mine is currently draped over the couch in my parent's living room just waiting to be taken to the cleaners to get preserved....I WILL get to it this weekend lol!

In the garment bag it came in hanging in my closet. I'm going to sell it!

I dropped it off at a local dry cleaner who quoted me $150 for cleaning and preservation. I have to pick it up soon..Her quote was way lower than the nearby dry cleaners so hopefully it was a good deal.
