Girls who got their videos back....

Quick ques...did you have footage from the cocktail hour??? Ie the food, the spread, the guest, etc?

We have none and although it isn't a huge deal it is a bit upsetting because we didn't make it to much of the cocktail hour so we were hoping for footage of it. Its not even in the raw footage. (Also our cocktail hour was 1.5 hrs) The rest of the video is really good but hmmmm not sure how I feel about this.

Mine has the cocktail hour, but I don't know if thats a usual thing or not. I know how you feel though. I never went to cocktail so it was nice to see what was actually there lol.

Mine has a little bit from the cocktail hour. Not much goes on there, it wasn't really a highlight, it's just people sitting and eating really. I don't think I'd miss it if it wasn't there, but our video guys did shoot a little of it. I wouldn't worry about it, as far as the video goes it's the least important part.

Yeah I am not that mad about it but DH is! Also we had 2 photographers and they were both taking pictures of us and our family. It would have been nice if one shot cocktail hour. (Well one got a few shots of people at cocktail hour). But anyway dh is pissed about no video from cocktail hour, like none.

I have the raw footage and there is a lot of cocktail hour...I asked my photographer to take pics and she took a few but assured me a lot of it would be on video...is this your unedited? or final video?

thank god ours did- because we were only there for a couple of minutes and our photographer did not get any shots- it was maybe 5 minutes worth of footage.

maybe ask your videographer if he has raw footage from it?

We have the raw footage and there is like 10 seconds of cocktail hour. Like they obviously shut the camera off completely and took a break or something. I dont get it.

oh that stinks.....
we got some footage of everything but not alot....
but we also i got a very basic package to save the money....
i would call them and ask whats up with that....if it was in your contract then they owe you footage or money back

We have a little bit of the cocktail hour showing the food and stuff BUT our photographer and video guy left and didnt get anything of our cigar bar outside and Im really pissed about it. Its not a huge deal to some people but it is to me. Its something everyone enjoyed and I wish I had something to remember it by.

Our contract says 7 hours of coverage pre ceremony, ceremony and reception.

I also think that the video guy was busy outside shooting us after the ceremony and so he missed getting the food. MAybe by the time he got to it, it was picked over and not worth shooting. It is just such a big part of the party and what weddings are known for so DH is MAD!

Mine is not complete, but my video guy recorded the cocktail hr along with the guests, the bellydancer, the empty tables and our sweetheart table. I do think it's common for the cocktail to be recored at least for a few minutes (length of a song). Sorry that you won't have memories of the cocktail hour. MAybe you can request that your friends forward you pics and maybe the video guy can do a collage in the video.

I'm sorry to hear that Jenna!!!!! I know how hard it is to be let down by people you hire that you trust will capture the moments you weren't able to.

they did the food and ice sculpture but no people and very quickly.

we only got our raw footage. Never got our finished product. We won our video so i dont really care. I only wanted raw footage anyway. That being said, they did film a bit during the cocktail hour.

Hey girl! Did you take pics during cocktail hr? That is the only thing I can think of. But seriously there were 2 video people, how come not one of them got footage?? UGH. DH is more mad about it and is emailing him now. Will let you know what happens
