I have this overwhelming feeling today (like I do most days here) that I need to quit.. just say 'see ya later' and walk out. I want to SO bad.. but then I remember all the bills and mortgage payments I would never be able to make without this cr@pola job. Please tell me I have no business quitting my job and convince me to stay.. because I feel my sanity slowly slipping away.
I hate it

Re: God grant me the strength...
Stay strong and think positive thoughts!!
I'm in a simliar situation with work. I'm over-worked and totally over it....but I know that nothing good comes out of negativity. Put out good energy and don't let the bad stuff get to ya!
Put out positive feelings into the universe and positive things will come to you.

Re: God grant me the strength...
This is the FM I sent Jen, I'm too lazy to re-tell/re-write the story. hahaha .
Ok so last Sunday of the Gtg at Croxleys I was telling DH about who was going to be there, how excited I was blah blah blah. So I said Jen Parker, I mean Jen Handwerker and I giggled. And Mike was like 'You know that's really fuckked up! I know you think it's all funny, oooh Handwerker, sooo funny, but you know, that name probably had a lot of valor and significance in the olden days. It's like a Smith, you know? And now because everyone is perverted this poor guy has to feel shame about his name that was probably very important hundreds of years ago'
DUDE. OH. MY. GOD. I literally was HYSTERICAL!!!! Kerri was on the phone with me, that's what it was, WE were talking about everyone we would see, who we were excited for, etc. And Mike heard me giggling about Handwerker and got all upset!! SO FUCKKIN FUNNY!!!! LOVED IT!!!

It is so hard to find a job in this economy. Don't do it. Stick it out. You don't want to end up like me, home bored and not contributing anything to your household.
Did that help?

Re: God grant me the strength...
I quit my job, and look what happened to me! Ha!
But seriously, life too short to be completely miserable. Look at what you bring home after taxes, transportation, lunches, work clothes, supplies, etc. Let's say you were out of work for a year, how much money would you need to earn, to survive? Could you work retail or temp or telemarket or something for a while to close the gap? Is there something you could sell, or give up to close the gap?
On the other hand, I would go thought the holidays, and if you still feel this way in the new year make your move.
Back in August I had a terrifying near miss on the LIE (someone was literally driving sideways to get out of traffic and cut back over to an exit they missed) I was racing back to work for a deadline and missed crashing by inches. I thought about a year's salary, and what it was truly worth to me, and how I could compensate.
It remains to be seen if I made the right decision. But if you are truly being mistreated, this is a free country and you have the right to pursue happiness.
Just realizing that may help you stay the course. Good luck whatever you decide.

Lauren, Mike was SO cute and funny about this! He was adamant that Kerri and I were evil for giggling about it!! He got on his soapbox and it was all cute.
Jen I told him you sent hugs for standing up for you He smiled and said he can't wait for TWOTY too!!!

Yes it does.. bc If i did quite I wouldn't have a household!! I make more than DH and we literally wouldn't be able to make the next mortgage payment!
and hugs to you You will find something soon that will be totally worth the wait. I promise!
