Going to a wedding tonight!

DH and I are attending our first wedding as an old farty married couple tonight AND our first Jericho Terrace wedding! I'm actually really excited! We didn't look at JT for our wedding (just wasn't what we were looking for) but I've heard soooooo many good things about it so I'm excited to experience it!

So weird to go to a wedding and not think about what my wedding will be like ...

jt is beautiful..we have been to many weddings there...its funny cause we lookded there for ours,and it was great..they guy chad who showed us around even offered us met tickets ..

the ony reason w didnt book there was two of dh's best friends who work in the same garage got married there the year before and we didnt want to keep the tradition aive by having a q13 garage guy get married at jt

We worked with Chad too, his son went to my school. But didnt book cause Riviera gave us a great deal and had an outside

I have a wedding upstate tomorrow!! I'm looking forward to it. Though, it will be much more of an offbeat/hippie style wedding. I'll be lucky if there's chairs with backs and a porter potties!!!! It's in a park upstate.

Some of the things the bride has told me, made me go just like that!! haha!! Things like... she hired a dress maker from Craigs list to make her dress for her and the lady went missing after she was paid and started making the dress. The bride eventually found the lady... in a homeless shelter (the dress was OK - well.. haha! if you can say that). After that she continued to work on the dress for her. When the bride did get her dress the seams weren't in the right or same places... it just wasn't symmetrical, then the sleaves were not the same or in the same spots, etc. there was a bunch of things wrong with it. The bride was SO NONCHALANT about it all.. but she did end up having to take the dress to someone else to have parts of it fixed. So I'm VERY interested to see the outcome of this dress.

The bride also told me... that there aren't enough favors for all the guests (she told me this in December when she had more than enough time to make sure there would be enough favors ). And the bride didn't want to be bothered with renting chairs, instead she wanted to just use the picnic benches from the park. The MOG insisted she rents chairs as there will be some family members and older people there that will need to sit in comfort.

There's more but I think you get the picture.

I have NO IDEA what's going on with food, cake, music, etc. This will be quite interesting. I just plan on drinking and having fun. As I said... it's a bit offbeat and hippie... that's the only way I can describe it.
