7 students are reading ABOVE grade level 8 students are reading ON grade level 5 students are reading BELOW grade level (only 1 of which is an ESL student- the rest receive additional academic services)
I am SO effing excited!! last year I only had 3 above level and about 8 on level.. This is awesome!!!
and yes, I'm bragging- I am actually making a difference in the world! yeeeehaw

ok, to explain why this is a big deal
I literally TEACH my students how to read. They come in knowing their alphabet & the sounds that the letters make, but that's it.
I took them from being unable to read to being CAPABLE! Those that are reading 'above level' are actually reading at a level that is comparable to mid-2nd grade
I am so mothereffing proud
