i need some ideas ladies. my friend is a bm in a wedding in march and needs ideas of where to go for her brother's FW's party. the bride is on the shy side and is NOT into anything too risque--so strip stuff totally. any ideas besides lucky chengs? a place where maybe we can get dinner first and then stay for a show/drinks afterwards----or even a place to go afer we get dinner.
the party has to be on a thursday nite....anywhere from western suffolk---to nyc is good.

if u wanna stay on the island u can go to Chaio Baby's in commack (sp? god i'm italian & dont know how to spell it!) & then maybe a comedy club?? other wise for the city what's ur budget?? Tao is absolutely AMAZING. so freakin' good & really cool atmosphere. You could also do Carmine's. Can't go wrong there.

Re: Good restaurants for Bachelorette party
Chaio Baby(l.i.): decent food, sinatra style singers family style portions, AMAZING chocolate martinis lol. i've only been to the one in commack so i can't speak for the other locations...
Carmines(NYC): AMAZING food(if u end up going here let me know - i'll tell u all the best stuff! lol), decent price, family style...so again - u'd split food & cost. but omg SO freakin' good. Go to the one on the upper west side as opposed to time square - the atmosphere is much nicer
Tao(NYC): CAN be a little on the pricey side depending on what u get, but can also be reasonable. AMAZING food, AMAZING drinks, VERY cool atmosphere...has been featured on Sex & the City & other shows too..just an amazing place & everytime i've gone I've seen someone famous
What if you went to one of those restaurants & then go to that off-broadway show...'my first time'

What about going to Tony N Tina's Wedding??? I actually think they have specials for thursday nights on certain websites which is the show AND dinner for like 50bucks... worst case scenario standard tickets i THINK are around $85..but that includes dinner as well so it's really not that bad. The show is supposed to be hysterical...an interactive italian wedding theme. so definetly appropriate for a bachlorette party And i hear u can even dress up when u go lol.

We went to Dos Caminos for my bachelorette party..its Mexican food, and a nice, fun place for a bunch of gals to eat dinner.
DH went to Asia de Cuba ... good food also.. and its asian and cuban food.
Both are in NYC.
HTH
ETA: Dos Caminos has LOTS of Martinis and their Sangria is very good! Plus they make guacamole in front of you - in the old fashioned dish - its yummy!

There's a few...one is in Soho, the other is 26 and Park ave so and then 50th and third. We went to the last one b/c our hotel was nearby. I also like the Soho location.
