Good videographer for 1000k?? (raw footage only)
Is it possible to find a good videographer for 1000k? I only want raw footage, no cartoons or graphics or montages or even music. I could post on the vendor board but I wanted to hear from ladies who are very happy with their video.

I doubt there will be any good videographers who advertise that sort of package since a good videographers time needs to be maximized. Meaning that if he books with you for $1K, that means he cant book with another couple who wants a full service package for 3 or 4 times that. But Im guessing if you call around to some of the popular videographers here and explain what you want and what you want to pay, you may get some takers. Or at very least you may get a referral to someone who does purely 'shooting'.
Another option is to go to NYU film school and see if any of the students would be interested in doing it. They might even do some basic editing for you too.

When I had originally booked Duet, we weren't sure if we were going to do a video at all. I asked how much for an unedited video--they told me $600. You might want to check it out.

I used Lavender Bridal Studio, it was $995 for in camera editing. They did a beautiful job with our video. It is exactly what we wanted!! Captured the whole day!! We had Gino, and he was great, funny guy, got great shots all night, was never in our face and got great interviews from our parents and bridal party!! He was at the church two hours early and stayed with us til the lat minute of the party!!

I think Spin Around Sound (DJs) has someone who just takes raw footage. I don't know the price. Call Tom and ask about it!

I saw their tape when I booked them for our DJ, and at least back then (2001), the video was horrible!!! I think it was his wife, but it really wasn't good at all...unsteady, etc, I was getting a headache watching the sample.
