DH just called and said his co-worker (who sits next to him) just handed him a wedding card. So that is the last of the people who came empty handed. We didn't think we were getting anything from him although he had referenced it to DH on 2 occasions. So - hope goes to many of you!
My thank you cards are all packed and will proably be that way for awhile - think I should make him wait 7 months to get a thank you?? LOL

We got married 7 months ago so the people who didn't even give us a card, aren't planning to ever do so. We sent them thank you's anyway for being there. I do think it was rude.

I've still got some out there - 13 months later! I gave up on them, but people keep mentioning that they're giving a gift.
One friend (my ex) thought he had till August for the one year deadline. He sister just told him a few weeks ago, 'ummm, they got married in APRIL! not August!'
we'll see if said gifts ever materialize.
On our one year anniversary a friend that I hadn't talked to in a few months sent us a check as an anniversary gift?! She was invited to the wedding but didn't come and sent no gift. Then sends $150 for our anniversary when we haven't spoken in awhile? weird. I called to thank her and catch up, and sent a thank you, but I haven't heard back from her. I almost sent the check back...whats up with that?

Glad he finally thought of you guys to get a gift. We had two couples come empty handed and one said they were sending a gift after the honeymoon. Its almost one year for us so obviously they arent sending anything. It is extremely rude, but now I have an excuse to not see them.

I actually got a gift yesterday too. I knew the friend was sending something from the registry becuase he emailed me like 6 weeks after the wedding asking where we were registered. LOL!! I was excited to get the gift, though, beautiful Nambe S&P shakers and some other kitchen gadgets. Like the wedding day all over again!!
There is one couple who came to the wedding that we never got a gift from. Honestly, it doesn't really bother me, maybe because we are not close to them so I don't feel invested in the relationship to begin with. Guess I will just write 'thank you for sharing our day' on the thank you card
