I'm so happy - I know the economy stinks and I'm lucky to have not lost my job. . .but I just found out that I got an offer on Long Island!!!!!!!!!!!
Its a small paycut, but the hours are a million times better and I don't have to commute to the city (or pay for the LIRR - which prob makes me even on the salary diff!)
I'm just so excited and happy - I'll have so much more time to spend with DH!!

oh yay!!! Congrats on the new job offer. It sounds awesome. Even with the paycut, it might just even all out with the money saved from no longer commuting so far. And I hear ya on the better hours deal. That's gonna be great to have so much more time with DH. I'm so glad for you. I hope everything works out with this

and i agree, whats the point of making more if you cant enjoy it lol. Plus i really do think that you will either even out or even end up with more since you wont be commuting to the city. Adding up how much the LIRR costs a year is a decent amount so that makes up for it. Plus spending more time with your husband is much better than a few extra bucks and definitely worth it.
