Gotta love him!

Well girls, I don't have to wait until I get home to find out what happened with the aquarium from hell. My hubby just called all in a tizzy 'listen, I was walking and my pants got caught on the china closet and the door came off' -- WHAT??????
But let's all guess why the door came off? Because he was going to get all the fish stuff next to the china closet!!!!! I knew it was fish related!

When is the tranquility this tank is supposed to give me, coming? What a night I'm in for -- first the ob/gyn for post-op checkup (really looking forward to discussing this again) and now my beautiful china closet is damaged.

The past 2 weeks have most certainly been full of plenty of happenings -- most of which you could keep, but then there's my hubby adding some levity in there with his antics.

God, I love that man! I might kill him, but lovingly, of course!

You can't kill him!!! Then we wouldn't get all of your funny Joe stories!

Seriously, I hope you get nothing but good news at the dr. tonight. I'll be thinking of you...

My thoughts are with you, too!! And I hope things start going more smoothly for you!! I gotta admit, these King Neptune stories have been pretty amusing .. though I know it's not so for you! Hang in there .. your honey's trying!

Seriously, did you marry Jack Tripper???? That is how I envision him now, especially with the 'my pants got caught on the china cabinet door.' How does that happen? I am laughing so hard right now.

Listen, I am coming to LI in a few weeks to go with my sisters to look at BM dresses. Can I stop by your house to watch your husband for a little while. He sounds very entertaining

You guys are killing me -- especially the Jack Tripper comment!! (Joe would KILL me if he knew I was babbling away about him!!!! hehe ) And honestly, he really isn't accident-prone, it just seems lately things aren't going his way!!!

Ok, my china closet is a MESS!!! He ripped the whole thing off the **** thing, hinges and all. Thank God I have the extended warranty and they'll fix it for free!!!

As for the dr, it was torture to sit in the waiting room with all the pregnant women and then a newborn came in. Joe must have seen that I was about to lose it because very casually as he was reading Cucina Italia (getting ideas for me, huh?), he grabbed my hand and held it the rest of the wait. He has been my rock throughout this whole thing and I know it was just as hard for him, but he's more worried about me. Anyway, the first words out of the dr's mouth were that I'm going to try again -- not a question, but a statement!!! And everything is fine!!!! I cannot tell you what a relief that was because I went in with doom and gloom on my mind and even though it's still hard, that made it a bit easier for me. Although I'm very nervous about trying again, but that's normal.

Thank you girls for all your support! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. I try to tell Joe about this and he just looks at me in horror 'you're telling strangers on the internet about our personal life' -- I tried to explain how we're not strangers, but we've all become friends and support for each other. Yes, we haven't met each other, but you don't have to 'meet' to share what we share. Words go a long way and mean a heck of a lot. Ok, I'm getting too sappy now. Thanks!

Debbie, that is fabulous news!! I'm so relieved and HAPPY for you and Joe. He really is wonderful. You are lucky to have each other (and we are equally lucky because we get all the stories! ).

Funny story about your DH. My husband is SOOO the same about how and why I am still on this wedding site, and who am I chatting with. He laughs about it, and thinks we are obsessed with wedding planning, just cant understand !!

I have to say I am happy to hear that things will be good for you to try again. Your hubby sounds like an interesting guy ;-) and also a sweetheart. Here's a story to make him feel better about his string of bad luck:

A few months ago a bus took my sideview mirror off on my way to work in Brooklyn. My then FH took care of getting the new mirror.

Then, ONE MONTH(!!!) before the wedding, someone went into my desk at work and stole my cell phone and spare car key and stole my car! They then used it in a hit and run accident and totaled it! My FH was wonderful driving me all over Brooklyn to police precincts and auto body shops and DMV and car dealerships. He was so sweet when I would breakdown in tears because I was having trouble coping with all the stress this added as the days to the wedding started counting down.
He was my calming influence as we haggled with dealerships, and he was my sharer of joy as I took possession of my new car days before the wedding :-)

Today as I left work I see the side view mirror on my 2-week-old NEW CAR hanging off! A Salvation Army truck tried to squeeze by as I was in work. When I came home he was very sweet, said he would take care of getting me yet another mirror at the dealership tomorrow.

So tell your husband there is someone just as unlucky as him walking around Long Island! There is also a new husband who is just as sweet as him too :-)

Diane, I'm so sorry to hear about your car -- I know how you feel, that happened to me. It really is horrible that you buy this new car (and don't even get me started on the prices -- it's a down payment for a house) and nobody respects your car and treats it nice, but you!!! I'm always careful not to hit other people's cars when I park, but that doesn't seem to go both ways. Not for nothing, but you would think since you don't want your own car scratched, you'd be extra careful -- NOT!! I had this exact problem last night.

Oh geez, I'm in a mood today, so I better stop before my bloos pressure goes right off the chart!!!

On a happier note, aren't husbands the best???!!!! I'm happy to report that tonight we're finally getting some fish for Jacques Costeau/King Neptune to play with!! Yippeee!!!!! Now maybe we can move on to Halloween decorating!!!!! (this icon cracks me up, had to use it)!!!!

Is how I feel about Halloween decorating!! My husband looooooooooooves the holiday...heaven help our kids if we ever have them! He doesn't go small...he goes life-sized props! People videotaped our house in the past. I am looking forward to my first Christmas with my husband I want to go away for a romantic Christmas in the mountains...

Diana, good thing we don't live near each other, because I can see it now -- there would be a contest between my DH and your's to see whose decorations are bigger!! LOL
