Grandma's Gift Idea

Do we like this idea for Grandma's 80th birthday?

i think it depends on your grandma ... it's a cute idea, but would she actually hang it up? (DH and I bought his grandmother a gorgeous picture about 2 years ago and she has yet to hang it up)

i also tend to think grandmothers are more sentimental about family than days ... maybe you could get her a canvas print or something (maybe you have one of you & DH with her from yoru wedding?)

Yeah, I was thinking about the canvas print - even that glass print that someone put the Groupon on here yesterday. But I think that's kind of narcisstic (sp?), right?

Maybe I'll do both - something sentimental (a photo project) and the date in time, as a glance back at history?

Agreed - might be pretty cool to put an old picture on canvas for her. I could see where you think it's weird to give a picture of you and DH but whenever someone sees it they'll ask who that is and it's a conversation starter. I would much rather people give me pics of them istead of pics of me. I feel weird having all the pictures around our apartment be of me and DH. Would like some variety.

Yeah, I can get on board with that...

The sad thing is - I don't have ANY pic of me or me and DH with her alone :( or her and my grndfather for that matter. This is for another day.
